The sound was a little too much and we were sitting almost in the center. I felt like my ear drums were going to explode. But the video quality of the movie and the screen size were spectacular.
True IMAX picture and sound that enhances the experience of visual and audio effects. I usually go once a year and have yet to find a reason to turn away. Movies seen here include The Last Jedi, The Force Awakens, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Rises, Tron: Legacy, and Avatar.
I went to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi and loved it! I think the chairs are comfortable and the screen is HUGE! However, the volume was so high that it attempted to ruin the movie (it was Star Wars so that is very difficult to do). Overall, great theater if you can stand the noise.
I've been to this theatre many times over the years I love this place because of its special IMAX 70MM engagements. I recently watched Dunkirk here in its IMAX 70mm format and it was just magnificent. It was worth every penny that I returned two more times to experience the film in this format. The quality of every film you watch here is unlike any type of theatre you've been to. And the sound, the sound quality is literally to die for it is the most in life movie experience sound quality one can experience. Although the ticket prices are a little high the concessions are relatively fair compared to other local theaters in the area. The only thing I can think of to critique the place are the seats, they're comfortable but if its a full house and you're sitting in the middle of any section. It's a real pain to go to the bathroom. Overall though the experience is well worth the price and would recommend to anyone.
Not all IMAX theaters are created equal! This has the biggest screen by FAR! The fact that they are the only theater in the state to get 70mm showings i.e. Dunkirk, it really is the best theater in the state. My go-to for the biggest blockbusters.
